Q Consider issues facing immigrants generally and refugees in particular. If you were in charge of immigration policy, what would you want it to look like and why? (We realize the reality and the vision may be two different things. For now, focus on the ideas.) How might your views compare with a refugee who was fleeing war or an immigrant leaving their country because they couldn’t find work? What do your answers say about your social location?

There are various issues which an immigrant faces like discrimination, oversight in policies by Government, lack of provision of various state benefits, lack of employment opportunities, prejudice, language barriers, housing, and healthcare requirements, among others (Laczko, 2019). For a refugee, these problems gets multifold. A refugee including the above all problems have to deal with survival and emotional issues as well. They are on a constant look out for security protocol issues as well. Hence, it is required that a good immigration policy be setup to address all these issues of immigrants in general and refugees in particular.
